Receiving these pretty photos from Jackie Ray Photography in the mail on Tuesday made my day! Kerri and Kay are laid back couple who hosted their ceremony and reception in The Allan House’s winter tent just a few months ago.

Last week I announced The Allan House’s upcoming Open House & Bridal Showcase – Deco at Dusk, and today I am so thrilled to share the list of participating vendors.
Trice and Bret held their ceremony and reception at The Allan House in late February. The couple resides in Washington, DC, so the bride planned from afar with the help of her mom, sister, and fabulous matron of honor, Amelia.
The streets of downtown Austin served as the perfect backdrop for pre-ceremony photos.
Green parasols and balloons used as props in the photos of the wedding party added vibrant pops of color.
2BSquared designed the ceremony programs which were filled with endless inside jokes in the descriptions of each bridesmaid and groomsman.
I am still in awe of the cakes which were designed by the bride’s sister and baked and decorated by her mom!
Pappa’s Catering provided flawless service and delicious food for the cocktail hour and reception.
The week-of the wedding Trice’s mom surprised her with a fun gift – she reserved a photo booth for the party. It was a hit!
Thank you to Lisa Woods for sharing these gorgeous images!
For those that may not be the most traditional bride, a short wedding dress can be a fun and flirty alternative to a full-length gown. Although I personally won’t pick a short dress for my big day, I found several adorable options that almost changed my mind!
The fitted bodice and shorter hemline of this choice adds just a little bit of sex appeal. I envision this dress on a bride in Las Vegas!
There is a time, a place, and a bride for short ceremony dresses. They are certainly not for every girl or for every wedding. What do you think?
